Teen rock & roll heartthrob Conrad Birdie has been drafted into the army, much to the dismay of his manager, Albert Peterson. In a desperate attempt to save his career and his company, Albert and his secretary/assistant/girlfriend, Rosie Alvarez, devise a publicity stunt to send Conrad off with 鈥淥ne Last Kiss鈥 given to a randomly selected member of his fan club--Kim MacAfee from Sweet Apple, Ohio--on The Ed Sullivan Show.
In celebration of the 150th Anniversary, BYE BYE BIRDIE reflects the future of Calvin Theatre Company, and marks the return of musical theatre to the program after a 12-year absence.
BYE BYE BIRDIE is produced through special arrangement with Concord Theatrical, representing the Tams-Witmark Collection. (www.concordtheatricals.com)
