Fall Athlete Welcome is for athletes competing in certain fall sports. (Men's and Women's Soccer, Women's Volleyball)

Attending this programming will allow new students to get the information they need prior to the start of classes and avoids schedule conflicts with their athletic program. (Fall Athletes whose teams are not part of the Fall Athlete Welcome program will participate in the full Welcome Week program beginning August 28).

Below is the Schedule of Events:

Thursday, August 14 

  • 10:00–12:00   Check-In/ID Cards/Moving-in for athletes living on-campus -- Drive up to the Front Patio of the Spoelhof University Center to receive keys, ID cards and your orientation schedule, then proceed to your residence hall for move-in.
  • 12:30-1:30   Lunch - for athletes (free) and families (additional cost) at the Commons Dining Hall.  Family members should pre-pay for both meals using  ($12 per person for lunch, $13 for dinner).
    • Page 1: Choose meal (lunch or dinner) for August 14 (click "view details").
    • Page 2: Choose quantity;  Add to cart. Repeat Page 1 for second meal if applicable.
    • Page 3: Click Checkout.
    • Page 3: If your total amount is correct, click Continue.
      You will be prompted to sign in or continue as guest. Payment options are Apple Pay, Google Pay, or credit/debit card.
  • 1:30-3:00   Commuter athletes can pick up their ID cards and schedule in Spoelhof University Center 364 (Student Life suite)
  • 3:00-3:30    Opening Welcome - CFAC Recital Hall
  • 3:30-4:30    Team Meetings - CFAC Classrooms
  • 4:30-4:45   Presidential Welcome
  • 5:00–6:00  â€‚Dinner with Families (see above for meal ticket purchases)
  • 5:45–8:45  â€‚Appointments for Athlete Physicals
  • 8:30–10:30   Team Socials

  • 8:00–9:00  â€‚Color Group Breakfast - Commons Dining Hall

Thursday, August 28 – Monday, September 1

  • Men's and women's soccer have home competitions during Welcome Week for all students (August 28–September 1), but athletes are encouraged to participate in Welcome Week activities when not required to be at practices or competitions with your team.
  • Families are invited to return on Thursday, August 28, from 1:00–7:00 p.m. for Welcome Week kick-off programming that includes families.
