Football Welcome

As part of their Welcome to campus, members of the football team will arrive on campus early to move in and participate in training camp practices. The arrival day is Tuesday, August 12!

Athletes and families will receive more information from their coaches and the Orientation Team in July and August.

Family members are invited to help students move into their fall housing placement after the Kick-off Meeting for athletes and families. Family members are also welcome to return to attend Welcome Week family programming on Thursday, August 28, from 1-7 p.m.

Below is the Schedule of Events for the Football Welcome program:

Tuesday, August 12 

  • 8:00-8:30am   Returning Player Check-In – Returning players get keys and begin moving-in (for those living on-campus)
  • 8:45   Newcomer Check-In – Report to the Spoelhof Fieldhouse Complex
  • 9:00-9:30  â€‚Kick-off Meeting – All newcomers, newcomer parents, and returning parents are invited
  • 9:30-12:30pm  â€‚Newcomer Move-in -- New students and families pick up room keys and Student ID cards in the Fieldhouse Complex and move into the residence halls (for those living on-campus)
  • 12:30-1:30   Lunch -- (Optional) A buffet lunch will be available for family members in Commons Dining Hall for $12 per person (student athletes are free).  Please pre-pay using and take your receipt with you as your "ticket" for the lunch.

  • Welcome Week Programming with all new students
  • Families are invited to return on Thursday, August 28, from 1:00–7:00 p.m. for Welcome Week kick-off programming that includes families.
