The Center for Counseling and Wellness (CCW) is your go-to resource for mental health support at Calvin. We offer free, confidential services designed to help you reach your goals.

Free

We value your mental wellness, and offer our services at no cost to all undergraduate and graduate students.

Customized and Confidential

Your customized support plan may include group and/or brief 1:1 counseling, will connect you to community resources, and can be adjusted at any time.

Professional counselors

Our team is fully staffed, with licenses in psychology, social work, or counseling. We are passionate about working with your unique strengths, challenges, and goals.

Campus partnership

We collaborate closely with other departments on campus, addressing your needs effectively and holistically.

Counseling Services

Our support options include workshops, counseling groups, and individual sessions. All services begin with an initial screening to create a personalized support plan with a licensed counselor. 

Your counselor will also connect you with on-campus support and off-campus referrals, as needed.

Therapy Assistance Online (TAO)

TAO is a free digital resource available to all Calvin students, faculty, and staff, with self-guided tools and interactive modules to support your mental health.

Self-Help Resources

In addition to TAO, we've curated more resources for navigating a variety of topics, including substance abuse, self care, relationships, specific diagnoses, grief, and more. 

Resources range from reputable websites to podcasts to books you can check out at Hekman Library.

Wellness Room and Equipment

You can reserve our wellness room, which includes a massage chair and other materials to manage stress. We also provide journals and coloring books, and lend out light boxes for help during the months with less sunlight.

This form is available to any student, staff, or faculty requesting support for a student, related to behavioral or wellness challenges, academic advising, academic performance, class attendance, and general safety.
